At first, I thought that with the death of Google Fusion maps, custom maps would be limited to Google’s Maps APIs.
It turns out that I was wrong. Google Drive supports “My Maps” which is a document format designed to handle custom points on a map. After going through all of my saved Reddit links for camping and travel, I came up with a map of places that I’d like to visit. I may not go to most of these places, but I am still going to keep updating this as I find more places that look interesting in the world. Every point on my map contains a link to either a website or a Reddit post where the place is located. It is broken down into “Travel Spots”, which means any place that I’d like to at least visit, and “Camping Spots” for anywhere that I would genuinely like to either camp or hike.
